Introducing Cycles of Care: Affirmations Honoring Mind, Body, & Earth

Life is full of natural rhythms—growing, resting, and renewing. Like the world around us, we, too, go through cycles that help us stay balanced. Thus, Saathi is excited to present our new series, “Cycles of Care: Affirmations Honoring Mind, Body, & Earth”. The essence of the series lies in the idea that the harmony of our personal well-being with the health of the planet is crucial.

Why did we decide to start this series?

We are aware of the crucial role of our health- both mental and physical, as well as of the environment- in the future. We believe that positive affirmations are a powerful way to boost mindfulness and happiness. They help you become more aware of the natural cycles that support all life. This approach to living is about embracing change, unity, and growth.

The Power of Affirmations

Research published in the Indian Journal of Psychological Science reveals that the consistent practice of repeating positive affirmations can profoundly affect mental well-being. This approach helps reduce stress by changing negative thoughts, builds self-worth by focusing on positive beliefs, and improves mental health by creating a mindset of optimism and resilience.

Also, a study published in The International Journal of Indian Psychology found that affirmations helped reduce stress, anxiety, and depression in women with cardiovascular disease, highlighting how affirmations can benefit both our mental and physical health

When we make affirmations a regular part of our inner dialogue, we slow down, reflect on what truly matters, and make space for intentional thinking. This helps guide us toward a more balanced and mindful way of living.

Saathi’s Cycle of Care Series: Daily Affirmations and Weekly Reflections

We’ll start by introducing you to some powerful themes that are close to the heart, ones that’ll inspire, motivate, and get you thinking. Each week, we will focus on one of four interconnected themes—Mental Health, Periods, Wellness, and Sustainability. 

Every day, we’ll share affirmations based on the weekly theme to help you stay mindful and focused. Our carefully curated affirmations will serve as a gentle nudge to realign your thoughts and intentions with the week’s focus. You’ll find these affirmations in our Instagram stories and highlights, so they're easy to engage with and return to whenever you need them.

At the end of each week, we’ll share a blog to recap the theme, highlight insights, and offer extra resources to keep the conversation going. It’s a chance for us to reflect and celebrate our progress together.

Revealing the Themes 

Our series is designed to flow through 4 essential themes, each building upon the last:

  1. Mental Health.

We’ll start with mental health, a topic that relates to all of us. This part focuses on rest and peace, which are the foundation of self-care. It’s about taking time to reflect and grow.

  1. Periods.

We want to help you feel confident in taking on your daily tasks with ease during your period. Our affirmations will focus on supporting your body, recognizing its strength, and feeling empowered. It’s all about being confident in yourself, staying connected to your natural rhythm, and prioritising self-care.

  1. Wellness.

Wellness combines the previous themes into a body, mind, and spirit lifestyle, linking mental and physical health together. This theme is about focusing on your physical wellness. These affirmations help bring the right balance, energy, and strength into your life.

  1. Sustainability.

Our final theme is sustainability, and in this case, we are looking to take action. This theme reminds us of our shared responsibility to the earth, showing that taking care of ourselves is closely connected to caring for the environment. The mantras are designed to inspire you, encourage action, and give you the energy to make a positive impact on the world.
