Saathi is recognized as one of the finalist at Fast Company's World Changing Ideas Awards 2019

The 2019 Fast company’s awards featured entries from across the globe, from New Zealand to Shanghai to Switzerland. The World Changing Ideas Award showcased 17 winners, with Health and Wellness, Education, and AI and Data among the most popular categories, honouring businesses, policies, projects, and concepts that offer innovative solutions to the issues facing humanity.



Fast Company’s May issue will celebrate these world-changing ideas, and highlight the finalists in the May issue of the print magazine, which hits newsstands on April 16.

Winner of the St. Andrews Prize for the Environment

The St. Andrew's Prize for the Environment is an environmental initiative by The University of St Andrew's in Scotland, UK and ConocoPhillips, an independent exploration and production company. The award recognizes significant contributions to environmental issues and concerns, with a focus on sustainability, conservation, biodiversity, and community development.

Kristin Kagetsu, Co-Founder, CEO Saathi pitched 100% biodegradable & compostable sanitary pads from banana fibre, sharing Saathi's vision of sustainability and women's health at St. Andrew's in Scotland on 21st -22nd February 2019.

Jury’s special award- Aarohan Social Innovations Awards- 2019

Established in 1996, the Infosys Foundation supports programs in the areas of education, rural development, healthcare, arts and culture, and destitute care.The Aarohan Awards were established with a vision to recognize and reward individuals, teams or NGOs that are developing unique solutions for the social sector that have the potential to positively impact the underprivileged in India, at scale. Tarun Bothta, Co-Founder, CTO Saathi received the Jury Special Mention award under the Sustainability category.  Mrs. Sudha Murty, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation felicitated all the winners at Infosys Headquarters, Bangalore on Feb 26th, 2019.

Govt. of India- MSME, EMPOWERING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS Award - 2019.

The initiative endeavours to Empower Women Entrepreneurs from marginalised sections of the Indian society & enable their growth & success in business, by offering substantial knowledge on various business opportunities and national best practices in doing business, access to financing, innovation in projects, assessing risks and growth mantras enabling them to set up and run a sustainable business. 

Kristin Kagetsu, Co-Founder, CEO Saathi was invited to speak at the inauguration session about Saathi’s success stories and achievements, to motivate and boost entrepreneurship among the marginalized sections of women. She was felicitated by Hon'ble Minister of MSME at a day-long conclave on 25th February 2019, at Rangsharda Auditorium, Mumbai.

Winner Not Impossible awards- 2019

The Not Impossible Awards honours those who transform lives with purpose-driven Technology for the Sake of Humanity. The Team Not Impossible was deeply inspired by the mission and dedication of our work as well as the potential impact of our sustainable compostable pads to reduce waste and empower women in India and worldwide.  

Through this award we are ready to set the wheels in motion for producing a short documentary on SaathiPads to premiere it on Not Impossible Awards Show on June 1st, 2019 at the Theater at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Las Angeles.

 Conclusion

 All these awards and recognitions remind us of our responsibility toward sustainability and make us realise our long term goal of a green world.
